Crochet Coaster
This is the second coaster I've crocheted, and this time I am quite satisfied with the outcome. This is made by following the FREE pattern from the Japanese Clover website (in case you can't read Japanese and got confused about where to obtain the PDF pattern, click HERE to download the PDF from their site). There are three designs on the pattern but I've only done this one.
I've used Wolle Rödel's Mille Fili yarn (colour: 5908 azalee) with Clover's soft touch 2.75mm crochet hook. The yarn is made with 100% cotton with a beautiful shine. It splits quite easily so it's not the easiest yarn to crochet with, but it looks so beautiful that I couldn't help from falling in love with them!
The pattern actually states that it takes about 30 minutes to finish this coaster, but because I am new to reading these charts, I've actually made a few mistakes so I had to undo and redo some steps, which took me more than an hour to complete it. But now that when I understand the pattern, I believe I can complete it a lot faster next time (but I'm too tired to take on the challenge right now)!
The coaster looks a bit smaller than I expected, but actually it is already bigger than what the pattern says it would (pattern size: 7.5cm; my size: 9cm). But my glasses aren't that big so I guess it'll be enough for them :)
Anyway, it's time to say good night again :)
